Trituration is a process in which homoeopathic tablets are prepared by potentizing the medicine with Sugar of Milk i.e. lactose using mortar and pestle.
Bio-chemics Tablets
Biochemic tablets are prepared in a process in which single salt like kali phos, and calc phos medicine is made by potentizing.
Bio-combinations
There are 28 bio combinations in Homoeopathy. To make these, more than one biochemic tablet is potentized by mixing them in equal proportions.
Specialty Tablets
Biochemic tablets and a combination of different herbs are mixed with lactose to make specialty tablets.
How SBL makes Tablets?
- SBL follows quality control measures even in the manufacturing of tablets.
- Lactose used for making Trituration is imported from Holland which is of Purest Grade HMS Lactose, certified by SBL Quality Control Labs. It is tested to confirm the HPI standard for accuracy.
- Additional identification test of Lactose is done by measuring Light Absorption and Specific Optical Rotation through Polarimeter.
- Cell salts (12 biochemical salts) are manufactured by several companies. However, SBL has selected 3 top companies of international standards to supply these Cell salts.
- Proper trituration of the salts in the right proportion ensures uniform dispersion of the medicine in the tablets.
- Along with the drying temperature, the pressure of the tableting machine must also be controlled and adjusted so that the final product meets the standards for tablets prescribed in the HPI.
- For optimum effectiveness the tablet should be neither too soft nor too hard. Tablets should be of the same weight.
