The dilutions should not be poured over the sugar globules. It should be poured around the inside neck of the bottle containing the globules. *The bottle should be mildly shaken, so that the dilution spreads over all the globules as uniformly as possible. * The standard quantity of dilution to be used in a bottle containing 1-2 drams of sugar globules is 4-5 and 7-8 drops respectively. * The precaution would help in uniform spread of dilution and prevent the excess usage of dilution.
